David Chang has finally opened his Momofuku CCDC Northern Virginia-native David Chang has finally opened his Momofuku CCDC (CityCenterDC). Although management takes reservations, most of the seating in the main dining area is for walk-ins who have managed to wait in line for hours. Some of the dishes from Momofuku in NYC may emerge from the DC kitchen, but perhaps not Chang’s famous ramen noodles. We will just have to wait and see. Meanwhile, the affiliated Milk Bar is offering many of the group’s faves, and is open early morning onwards. Dinner nightly. One of America’s oldest restaurants, Tadich Grill, from San Francisco, has opened its first location on the East Coast in Washington DC. Situated near the White House, this seafood-based establishment is larger than its SF cousin, and has a bar and a lounge area, plus an outdoor patio for alfresco dining. Tadich Grill offers dishes created by executive chef Wil Going. It is expected to be a power-broker destination. Tadich Grill, 1001 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20004, 202-638-1849.
 
American Tandoor serves an eclectic menu that highlights India’s culinary heritage but with dishes bearing an American influence. Samosas filled with sweet potatoes and marshmallows or breakfast dishes such as buttermilk-and-chocolate waffles with tandoor bacon point to interesting Western influences. Morini Mondays for DC
Chef Michael White’s Osteria Morini is offering a special rotating menu of executive chef Matt Adler’s homemade pastas for only $10 an order. Patrons can expect to sample three classic pasta dishes from the Emilia-Romagna area of Italy, such as tagliatelle with antica ragù and gramigna with pork sausage ragù. Patrons will also enjoy several pasta inventions of the restaurant’s kitchen. This Monday pasta special lasts until the end of March 2016. Bourbon Steak has revamped the bar and lounge area Revamped Bar and Lounge at Bourbon Steak
Bourbon Steak has revamped the bar and lounge area. It features refinished floors with stone mosaic inlays, new artwork, additional booth seating and new leather bar stools. Head bartender Torrence Swain is also introducing new cocktails inspired by seasonal ingredients. One of his creations is the M St. Apple Old Fashioned, featuring cardamom bitters and apple brandy.
