In the new Buddha-Bar hotel, a luxury property just off the Champs-Elysées, Le Vraymonde is driven by chef Rougui Dia. This Senegalese native who honed her skills for ten years at Le 144 Petrossian tends to patrons in no less than five rooms distributed around a private courtyard. Her cuisine favors international spices and flavors, like bourbon vanilla sea bass and honey-coated veal breast. Lunch menu at €29 and dinner menu at €68. Lunch & Dinner daily. Prince de Galles, Paris, reopened in May after two years of renovation. It benefits from its restaurant La Scène, helmed by Stéphanie Le Quellec. The chef, after a stint at the kitchen of the Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris with Philippe Legendre, garnered attention in 2011 when she won a televised gastronomic contest. At La Scène, which features an open kitchen and a terrace, she notably cooks lobster and calf sweetbread. A frozen cherry and verbena parfait might appear among the desserts crafted by Yann Couvreur, formerly at Le Burgundy. Lunch menu at €60 and dinner menu at €120. Lunch Mon.-Fri., Dinner Mon.-Sat. Eric Frechon to Feature Products from Normandy at Mini Palais
Eric Frechon, the talented chef of Hotel Le Bristol, is showcasing products from Normandy, his native region, at the huge terrace of Mini Palais until September 30. Hence the menu features beef rib, Camembert cheeses, strawberries coated with cream, apple clafoutis and a selection of ciders. Mini Palais, Grand Palais 3, av. Summer Sunday Barbecues at Camelia
Camelia, the posh brasserie of the Mandarin Oriental, Paris, will offer “Sunday barbecues” on July 21 and 28 and on August 18. Chef Thierry Marx will prepare the special menu for lunch (€65), which will notably suggest gazpacho with Bigorre ham bruschetta, sea bream cooked only on one side with vegetables, and to finish off the meal, a pastry or a sherbet. Allard to Alain Ducasse Group
Claude Layrac, the owner of Allard, a famous brasserie in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, is about to sell it to the Alain Ducasse group. The latter, which already helms, among others, the Plaza Athénée restaurant, Jules Verne and Benoît in Paris, should rule the restaurant as soon as September. New Terrace at Shangri-La Hotel
All summer long, until September 8, one can access the terrace on the 1st floor of the Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, from 5 p.m.-11 p.m. Embellished with curtains and a play of lights, the place boasts a commanding view of the Eiffel Tower.
