A candy store called Armani/Dolci has just opened within the restaurant Emporio Armani Caffè in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. Delicate, topnotch products are available, such as white, milk and black chocolate, jams, honey, marmalade, fruit jellies, sugar almonds, marrons glacés and various teas from China. Brunch at the Hôtel Lutétia
Every Sunday from noon-3 p.m., a brunch is organized within the Borghese lounge of the Hôtel Lutétia. On the menu, croissants, scrambled eggs, fruits and a variety of cheeses are suggested as well as some dishes from chef Philippe Renard like a roasted chicken, a roquette salade with cherry tomatoes and hazelnut, and a mushrooms soup. As for the drinks, treat yourself with a fruit juice, wine or Champagne Taittinger. The brunch costs €55. Hôtel Lutétia, 45, bd Raspail, 75006 Paris, 01 49 54 46 46.
 
Verjus Wine Bar Opens, Restaurant to Follow
The team behind the Hidden Kitchen supper club have opened the wine bar portion of Verjus. (The upstairs dining room will soon follow.) Small plates change daily, but have included clams with chorizo, lime, sumac and cilantro. For dessert, there might be salted caramel pudding or perhaps a quince sorbet with candied kumquats. With the recent opening of luxury hotels such as the Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, and the Mandarin Oriental, Paris, endowed with state-of-the-art equipment, the Ritz Paris is obliged to keep up with the competition and will close its doors in 2012 for 27 months of renovation.
