A few years ago, Naples-native Danilo Bianco opened a grocery store/restaurant that he judiciously dubbed Danilo. Just a few yards away is Sassolini, his second establishment, done in shades of brown, red and white, and with upholstered banquettes and an open kitchen. Italian favorites compose the menu: osso buco, vitello tonnato and linguine alle vongole. Sassolini, 2, rue Maleville, 75008 Paris, 01 45 63 20 87.

Where to Brunch in Paris
Brunch may be an all-American invention, but Parisian hipsters are beginning to indulge in this Sunday institution from the States. Check out GAYOT's blog to find out where to go in Paris for a languid, late-morning meal of eggs Benedict and brioche.
 
Duo of New Drinks at Le Bar du Plaza
Two new drinks are now offered at Le Bar du Plaza at the Hôtel Plaza Athénée, both containing Japanese Suntory whisky. Barman Thierry Hernandez learned how to prepare them during a stint in Japan. Chef Shuffle
Colin Field, who was bar chef at Le Bar Hemingway at the Ritz Paris hotel, has collaborated with the Halekulani in Hawaii on a new cocktail bar called L'Aperitif in the Honolulu hotel. Ritz Paris, 15, place Vendôme, Paris 75001, 01 43 16 30 30.
