Openings

The mythic Palais Garnier launched its restaurant on June 27. Chef Christophe Aribert, from les Terrasses d'Uriage near Grenoble, supervises the menu realized by Yann Tanneau, who previously worked with Alain Senderens in Mama Shelter. As for the pastry chef, Hervé Moreau hails from Pierre Gagnaire. In a spot where the architecture of Charles Garnier cohabits with the décor of Odile Decq, the team showcases lobster, whiting and guinea fowl, while modern and classic cocktails are served at the bar. The restaurant is open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to midnight. Palais Garnier, Palais Garnier place Jacques Rouché, 75009 Paris, 08 92 89 90 90.

The owner of La Fontaine Gaillon, Gérard Depardieu, has opened a second establishment, Bien Décidé. At once a restaurant and wine cellar, it features the wines from the various domains where the actor Depardieu intervenes, among which are fourteen references of Château Tigné. As the red wine is well suited to the meat, the cuisine is centered on the grill room. The menu changes every day. Lunch Mon.-Fri. Bien Décidé, 117, rue du Cherche-Midi, 75006 Paris, 01 45 48 39 28.
