New York foodies have a reason to celebrate: fan favorite M. Wells is back as M. Wells Dinette at MoMA P.S. 1. The restaurant, once housed in a former diner, has reappeared in P.S. 1, the art gallery in Long Island City, Queens. As of now, the restaurant is only open for lunch. M. American Table Café and Bar by Marcus Samuelsson sits at the entrance to Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center and serves up edible American-inspired creations by the celeb chef. American Table Café and Bar by Marcus Samuelsson, Lincoln Center, 1941 Broadway, New York, NY 10023, 212-671-4200.
 
Chef Cesare Casella is bringing his Upper West Side restaurant, Salumeria Rosi, to the Upper East Side. The menu has a large selection of shareable plates, many of which have a Roman accent. "Top Chef" alumna Leah Cohen is the toque in the kitchen at Pig and Khao, a new Southeast Asian eatery on the Lower East Side. Pig and Khao, 68 Clinton St., New York, NY 10002, 212-920-4485.
 
Laurent Tourondel has opened up the first New York City branch of his burger chain, LT Burger. This one, the first of a few, one can assume, is located on Bryant Park. LT Burger, 8 W. 40th St., New York, NY 10018, 212-582-8200.
 
Koi SoHo is the latest restaurant to try its hand in the Trump SoHo New York tower. It is an outpost of the Koi in Midtown at The Bryant Park Hotel, which is a branch of the celeb-favorite spot in Los Angeles. An extension of chef Sara Jenkins' Porsena, Porsena Extra Bar has opened next to her original restaurant. The menu is focused on Mediterranean fare and there'll be a large wine list of offerings from the area. Porsena Extra Bar, 21 E. 7th St., New York, NY 10003, 212-228-4923.
 
Guy Fieri is bringing it to New York. And by "it" we mean his restaurant. Enter 500-seat Guy's American Kitchen & Bar, set just off Times Square and certain to pack in the tourists (and --- who knows? --- maybe even a few locals) for Fieri's signature dishes like sangría-glazed shrimp and pretzel-encrusted chicken tenders. Oktoberfest at Perilla
Perilla in the West Village will celebrate Oktoberfest. Every Monday evening in the month of October, the restaurant will offer a three-course German-inspired dinner (with beer, of course) for $60. Perilla, 9 Jones St., New York, NY 10014, 212-929-6868.
 
Hergatt Squared
Chef Shaun Hergatt, who recently emancipated himself from his eponymous eatery in downtown Manhattan, has landed at ESquared Hospitality, which will eventually lead to his own restaurant, named Juni. The restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2013.
 
Bon Aperitivo!
Salumè, an Italian restaurant and shop in SoHo, is now offering its early-evening aperitivo later into the night. Buy a glass of wine and diners get access to a feast of cheese, meats, olives and other Italian snacks. Salume, 330 W. Broadway, New York, NY 10013, 212-226-8111.
 
French Restaurant Week in NYC
During French Restaurant Week, dozens of New York restaurants will present special promotions or prix-fixe menus September 17-30, 2012. Participants include Artisanal, Le Perigord, La Mangeoire and Ca Va. A portion of the earnings will benefit Action Against Hunger. For more information, visit www.frenchrestaurantweek.com.
 
Taco Tuesdays!
The Terrace at FOUR (located in the Yotel hotel) has begun serving tacos on Tuesdays. The weekly south-of-the-border-inspired event, which will last as long as the weather is warm, offers Richard Sandoval-created tacos of many varieties. One taco for $4 or three tacos for $10. Chef Shuffle

Hospoda, the elegant but gastropub-like Upper East Side Czech restaurant, has a pair of new chefs in the kitchen. Katie Busch, an alum of Aureole, and Lukas Pohl, who logged time in various kitchens in Prague. Oldrich Sahajdak is still overseeing the kitchen, both here and at his eatery La Degustation in Prague. The interior of Gotham Bar & Grill in New York Ron Paprocki is now pastry chef at Gotham Bar & Grill. His new desserts include the Gotham Black Forest, an interpretation of the German cake here made with chocolate crème, chocolate dacquoise, chocolate sable, cherry balsamic and Bing cherries, served with fresh mint ice cream. Bar Stuzzichini (928 Broadway) in the Flatiron District and its TriBeCa sister restaurant, Stuzzicheria, have both shut down.
 
Shaun Hergatt, of SHO Shaun Hergatt, left his eponymous restaurant and joined ESquared Hospitality (BLT Steak, BLT Prime, BLT Fish, GO Burger) to develop new dining concepts. The space that housed his restaurant in The Setai, Wall Street, is now occupied by a different place called The Exchange at The Setai, Wall Street.
