BLVD Grille is now open in the Water Street District in Henderson. The new concept by FINE Management, best known for its PWKY Tavern concept, is a more upscale venue with an American-style menu of steaks, pastas and seafood. Set in the former space of Hardway Eight, the décor features a dining room with blue velour booths and hanging Edison lights, two bars with several TVs and a lounge with comfortable couches and chairs and a garage door that can be opened providing fresh air. The menu includes 14 oz NY strip with mashed Yukon Gold potatoes; seared shrimp ravioli with ricotta cheese and lemon tomato cream sauce; and Romano chicken linguini tossed in pesto sauce with crispy prosciutto. The beverage program is highlighted by 20 taps with brews from several local breweries; and signature cocktails like the Purple Mule with Ketel One, lime, Monin Lavender, ginger beer and lavender bitters. • Naxos Taverna Offering Weekend Brunch and Prix Fixe Meal
The fresh seafood Greek restaurant Naxos Taverna at the Red Rock Casino has launched weekend lunch, available Friday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. In addition to the full menu, a $35 three-course prix fixe menu is being offered that includes choice of green chickpea falafel with tahini yogurt, Greek salad with marinated feta, marouli salad with cucumber, chef’s choice oysters (four East or West Coast) or kataifi wrapped prawns with kalamata olive aioli ($10 supplement); Faroe Island salmon with roasted pumpkin, 8 oz skirt steak with salsa verde, grilled lavraki with charred lemon, chicken kaftedes with tomato and chili, or seafood linguini ($10 supplement, with shrimp, crab and clams); and homemade ricotta olive oil and pistachio FroYo, cookies & bites, spiced date cake with warm caramel or Baklava cheesecake with pistachio filo and strawberry sorbet ($7 supplement). • Slice of Vegas Hosting Indoor Tailgate Parties
Slice of Vegas at the Shoppes at Mandalay Place is hosting its “Indoor Tailgate Experience” in its private Grand Marquee Room. Beginning 2½ hours prior to all Las Vegas Raiders home games, the tailgate includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, private bar with all-you-can-drink beer, wine and well drinks, NFL décor and TVs showing other games as well as the Raiders game. The buffet offers chicken wings, chicken tenders, meatball sliders, mini hotdogs, taco bar, nacho bar, pretzels, assorted pizzas, taquitos, chips and salsa and street corn. For the earlier games and tailgates, breakfast items are added, such as breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, biscuits and gravy and chilaquiles. The cost per person is $75 and attendees seeking premium liquor can upgrade for $25 more. Walk-ins are welcome, but the seating capacity is limited to 80 people. • Ultimate Tailgate Package at Proper Eats Food Hall
Proper Eats Food Hall inside ARIA Resort & Casino is offering The Ultimate Tailgate package every Sunday throughout football season. Priced at $55 per person, it includes unlimited eats of select menu items at Lola’s Burgers, Wexler’s Deli, Seoul Bird, Egghead, Pizzaoki, Shalom Y’all, Laughing Buddha and Easy’s Donuts. The package is available only to guests seated in the Proper Bar area, food orders will be taken in increments of two, guests will be limited to three hours, and everyone at the same table must participate in the offer. All beverages are sold separately. Proper Bar offers more than 20 seats at the bar, plus high tops and comfortable booths and HDTVs surround the bar and lounge, offering prime sports viewing from every seat. • Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino Brings Back Fall at the Terrace Pop-up
Green Valley Ranch Resort Spa & Casino has announced the return of its pop-up lounge, Fall at the Terrace. Running Sept. 15-Nov. 11 on Fridays and Saturdays from 4-11 p.m., the fall-themed outdoor lounge offers festive drinks and bites in an atmosphere filled with picturesque autumn hues, bright colors and falling leaves. The bites include pumpkin hummus with piquillo pepper gremolata ($14), salted zucchini chips with basil aioli ($10), prosciutto wrapped figs ($12), pumpkin terrine with dark chocolate and Chantilly cream ($11) and pecan bar with salted caramel puff and berry tart ($12). Several cocktails priced at $16 are offered, such as the Autumn Equinox with Avion reposado, crème de cassis, apple, lime and ginger beer. Two wine flights, the California and World Traveler, are $38 each. Walk-ins are welcome and reservations are available with a food and beverage minimum of $150 for pergolas and $100 for other tables reserved in two-hour blocks. • BrewDog Launches Happy Hour and Sunday Brunch
BrewDog Las Vegas at the Showcase Mall on the Vegas Strip featuring a 30,000 square-foot rooftop bar, has launched a new happy hour and Bloody Mary Sunday. Offered Mon.-Thu. from 3-6 p.m., the happy hour offers 16 oz pours of BrewDog beers for $7 and several cocktails including espresso martini, Manhattan and Elvis Paloma for $10. The food deal is two-for-one from the Nibbles & Small Plates menu, with the likes of chips & house guacamole, crab on toast, wood-fired flatbread, Yorkshire pudding & gravy and bang bang chicken. The Bloody Mary Sundays start promptly upon opening at 10 a.m. and lasts through noon, offering $5 Bloody Marys accompanied by a brunch menu with items such as full Scottish breakfast, breakfast tacos, cornflake crusted French toast, Korean bacon sandwich and buttermilk blueberry pancakes. • Twin Creeks Steakhouse Brings Back Social Hour with Spotlight on Local Beer
Twin Creeks Steakhouse at the Silverton Casino has brought back its Social Hour, offered in the bar and lounge from 4-6 p.m. Wed.-Sun. The happy hour deals include a five item small bites menu of house-made potato chips with caramelized onion dip for $8, shrimp cocktail with cocktail sauce and atomic horseradish for $15, bacon dates with blue cheese crema and hot honey for $12, spicy truffle fries with truffle aioli for $10 and caprese salad skewers with house-made mozzarella for $8. Drink specials include Bonanza Cabernet Sauvignon and Emmolo Sauvignon Blanc for $9 a glass; five cocktails priced from $10-$15 like the Maple Symphony made with Frey Ranch Bourbon; and five beers from the local CraftHaus Brewery: Czech PLZ Pilsner for $6, Belgard Coffee Stout for $6, Resinate IPA for $6, Evocation Saison for $6 and Hop Vegas West Coast IPA for $8. The beer selection will rotate seasonally and will continue to feature beers exclusively from local breweries. • Siegel’s Bagelmania Offering Platters for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur
Siegel’s Bagelmania is offering catering options for the upcoming Jewish holidays Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. For Rosh Hashanah, a catered family dinner feeding 8-10 people priced at $295.95 includes matzo ball soup, holiday brisket with gravy, roasted chicken, choice of chopped liver or noodle kugel, potato latkes with cherry apple sauce, roasted carrots, large round challah either plain or raisin and choice of honey cake or black and white cookies. Individual dinners are also available for $32.95 with a choice of matzo ball soup, chopped liver or noodle kugel as a starter and either holiday brisket with gravy or roasted chicken as an entrée, and one potato latke, roasted carrots, two slices of challah and a black & white cookie.
