Openings

Internationally acclaimed chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s largest Nobu Restaurant Caesars Palace yet will open alongside the world’s first Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace. It will also be the first of Matsuhisa’s restaurants to offer an in-room dining menu. The 11,200-square-foot space is being designed by David Rockwell's firm, Rockwell Group, and will include design elements of bowed columns of bamboo, colorful private dining pods and oversized light fixtures. Nobu Restaurant Caesars Palace will offer several teppanyaki tables, a sushi bar, a private dining area and a large lounge and bar. Bratalian Neopolitan Cantina Offering Happy Hour Specials
Carla Pellegrino’s Bratalian Neopolitan Cantina is offering happy hour specials, including a prix-fixe menu of an appetizer or salad, along with a choice of entree, dessert and a glass of house wine, all for $33. Select glasses of wine and beer are also available for either $2.99 or $4.99. The specials are available from 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. KGB: Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers Offering Monthly Burger and Shake Combos
KGB: Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers at Harrah’s Las Vegas is offering monthly burger and shake combos this summer. Crafted by chef Kerry Simon, the specials are available for one month. July’s special is a rib burger with barbecued beef rib meat, coleslaw, fried onions and American cheese, accompanied by the classic apple pie milkshake made with homemade vanilla ice cream, swirled with apples and cinnamon and garnished with whipped cream, pie crust pieces and caramel sauce. The August combo will feature a sweet teriyaki chicken burger paired with a pink lemonade milkshake made with homemade pink lemonade ice cream topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Origin India Launches India-inspired Tiffin Lunch Box Specials
Origin India is providing India-inspired Tiffin lunch box specials. Offered daily from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. for carry out or delivery, the weekly changing chicken, lamb, fish and vegetarian specials includes an entrée, two restaurant-chosen side dishes, rice and naan for $9.95. STK Presenting Cocktail-Making Class Every Wednesday in July
STK at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas will offer an interactive cocktail-making class every Wednesday in July from 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Mixologist Mark Suciu will share tricks of the trade by preparing different cocktails, and small bites by executive chef Stephen Hopcraft will be served. LAVO Launches Beer, Bubbles & Balls Happy Hour
LAVO Italian Restaurant at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino has launched Beer, Bubbles & Balls. Served daily from 4:30 p.m.-7 p.m. in the lounge, the new happy hour features $7 small bites options in the form of balls, such as meatballs, rice balls, fried crab balls, tuna tartare balls and brownie balls. New Summer Menu at Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab
Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab executive chef Gary Baca has introduced a new summer menu. New items include Alaskan halibut ($32.95) lightly coated in a panko and Parmesan crust, and a 14-ounce pork chop with spaghetti squash, bacon and peppadew peppers ($27.95). Rí Rá Irish Pub Offering 40% Locals Discount
Rí Rá Irish Pub at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is offering Las Vegas locals 40-percent off drinks from 11 p.m.-4 a.m. every Friday night in June. The pub also continues to offer locals 40-percent off lunch and dinner menu items every Friday. Guests must present a valid Nevada ID to receive the discounts. Chef Shuffle

Executive chef Sven Mede is leaving American Fish at Aria Resort & Casino. His replacement will be Josh Crain, who currently heads the kitchen at Nobhill Tavern at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Switch, the steakhouse concept at Wynn’s Encore Las Vegas with walls and ceiling that changed every 20 minutes, closed after dinner service July 22. The moving décor was built in 2008 and cost millions, but failed to draw in enough crowds to keep the restaurant open. After a 10-year run, Bradley Ogden at Caesars Palace closed after dinner service August 5. The restaurant had established a reputation for its organic, farm-fresh, seasonal cuisine. Michael Dellar, co-founder, president and CEO of the Lark Creek Restaurant Group said, “While our exclusive relationship with Caesars is coming to an end, we continue to be enthusiastic about the Las Vegas market and are reviewing other opportunities to develop a new Bradley Ogden-influenced restaurant in the area.” In its place, Gordon Ramsay will open his second Vegas restaurant, a casual gastropub concept.
