Trump on the Green?
Word on the street (or green?) is that Donald Trump is in talks to revive the legendary Tavern on the Green. "The Donald" will pump millions of dollars into the restaurant. He may even change the name to Trump on the Green. Let's hope not.
New Life for Florent Space?
It looks like the ghost of now-defunct Meatpacking District diner Florent may be finally resurrected. Sort of. Remi Laba (of Bagatelle fame) is said to be opening up a wine bar in the space. No word yet on the opening date.
Restaurant Week Is Back!
It's that time of year again. The snow is on the ground. The temperature has dropped. And Restaurant Week has arrived. From January 24 to February 6, enjoy lunch (and, in many cases, dinner) at some of New York's finest restaurants for a fraction of what you might normally pay. A three-course lunch costs $24.07 and dinner $35. Participating restaurants include Le Cirque, Café Boulud, Adour Alain Ducasse and Dovetail among many others. For more information, visit
Getting Fatty on Carmine Street
