Openings

Like its Las Vegas sibling, club-like and scene-y LAVO New York prides itself as much on its celebrity diners as it does the stylized Italian fare it serves for the moneyed set (and those who love them). Steaks, big salads and seafood are also available. After dinner, hit up the downstairs club. LAVO New York, 39 E. 58th St., New York, NY 10022, 212-750-5588.

The space that was recently occupied by Geoffrey Zakarian's Country is now Millesime, a vehicle for chef Laurent Manrique to serve up Frenchified seafood dishes. Millesime, 90 Madison Ave., New York, NY 10016, 212-889-7100.
